Lady Cougars hold off Dodge City in Jayhawk West action

It was the first time that Barton Community College’s women’s basketball team broke the century mark, and they needed every point on Wednesday night at Kirkman Activity Center.
The Lady Cougars edged Dodge City 100-91 to improve to 14-4 overall, 2-0 in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Western Division.
“This is the way we wanted to start (conference play), we hope to go 3-0 and build off that,” Barton head coach Carter Kruger said. “We’ve got to keep getting better as a basketball team, and as long as we stay hungry, we’ll do that.”
