Association of Churches to hold unity service this Sunday

 The Barton  County Association of Churches will hold a unity prayer service at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, at the First United Methodist Church, 2123 Forest. A special offering will be taken for Emergency Aid.
The goal is to have representation from every church in Great Bend. Sponsors describe this as an opportunity to unite in the worldwide observance of the annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, Jan. 18-25, which  began in 1908 in New York.
Everyone is welcome. The speaker will be the Rev. Carrie Buhler from Trinity Methodist Church, 5700 Broadway Ave.
