Names of shooting suspects released

The names of two Great Bend men arrested Friday in connection with recent shootings were released Tuesday, when Barton County Jail logs became available.
Nelson Martinez and Jose Torres Jr. were each booked on five counts of attempted first degree murder and aggravated burglary. Bond for each was set at $750,000.
Torres, 32, was also the victim of an attempted murder on Jan. 31, 2013. He was treated for what police described as a minor gunshot wound to the face, during an attack at his residence in the 1400 block of Adams St. He was placed in Central Kansas ...
