Panthers place 12th

High School Swimming

WICHITA — The Great Bend High School boys’ swim team competed at the Northwest Invitational on Saturday in Wichita.
The Panthers finished in 12th place out of the 20-team field, scoring 92 points.
Maize won the invite with 334 points.
Wichita Heights (268) placed second, and Rose Hill (213) finished in third place.
Justin Kuhlman was Great Bend’s top finisher, placing second in the 100-meter backstroke in a time of 58.36. He also placed fifth in the 200 freestyle (1:55.22).
Great Bend travels to Salina on Wednesday.
