Firefighters made eight ambulance runs on Monday. There were two fire calls.
At 1:03 p.m. they responded to 2400 10th for the smell of something burning. As they entered the store they could smell what seemed like burning wires but did not see any smoke. The found a motor on the pop cooler running hot.  
At 1:29 p.m. firefighters responded to the Barton County Landfill, 350 NE 30 Road, for trash burning at the back of a trash truck. Chief Mike Napolitano said the driver had dumped his truck and upon arrival ...
