USD 431 begins process of adding locking doors

HOISINGTON — The USD 431 School Board approved on Monday, adding locking doors to the four schools in the district.
The estimated cost is approximately $52,925 and the winning bid came from C & C Group from Wichita.
The main doors at the schools will be replaced and the secretaries will have audio and video view. The secretaries will buzz visitors into the buildings.
The server will come with a terabyte of storage and all of the software, which is not proprietary, will come preloaded. Sensors will notify the office if the doors have been propped open.
