Fire damages Hoisington homes

A structure fire in Hoisington last week damaged two homes.

HOISINGTON — A fire damaged two Hoisington homes, at 2:20 p.m. March 15. The fire began at 223 E. First St. When fire fighters arrived, flames were coming from two west windows and heavy smoke from the upstairs.
The fire spread to the neighboring home next door to the west due to the proximity. Hoisington Police Chief Jim Sekavec said it was quickly put out, but caused approximately $10,000 in damage.
