Firefighters made five ambulance run Thursday.
At 8:10 p.m., they responded to a possible vehicle fire at 24th and Washington. According to Chief Mike Napolitano, they could not locate the vehicle, but a bystander said he had seen the fire in the back of a white pickup, and stopped to help put out the fire; then the pickup took off. The pickup was located and the driver said someone may have thrown a cigarette out of a vehicle into the cardboard box in the back of the pickup, starting the fire. The box was ...
