Great Bend’s young soccer team falls 4-0 to Garden City

The first chunk of the season has not been kind to the Great Bend High School girls’ soccer team.
The Lady Panthers opened the season with three straight losses at the Wichita South Titans Classic, followed by a road Western Athletic Conference loss at Liberal.
On Thursday, Great Bend fell 4-0 in its home opener against Garden City.
Lady Panthers head coach Gus Prieto said that while it may be rough to start the season 0-5, and 0-2 in the WAC, it is a learning experience for the young team.
