KHP works injury accidents

On Monday morning, Kansas Highway Patrol responded to at least three injury accidents caused by icy roads. KHP also responded to accidents Friday and Saturday, in which central Kansas residents were injured.
At 4 a.m. Monday, a car slid on an icy bridge on I-135 in Saline County and struck pedestrian Joel P. Longbine, 47, of Sedgwick, who had stopped to assist someone in a parked vehicle. Longbine was taken to the McPherson County Health Center and later transferred to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
