Oilers compete in Hesston

High School Tennis

HESSTON — The Central Plains High School boys’ tennis team edged Conway Springs 5-4 but fell to host Hesston 8-1 on Thursday afternoon.
All six players for each team played as singles players and doubles teams.
Layne Bieberle, Michael Ryan, Michael Lamatsch and Brady Rugan all won their singles matches against Conway Springs.
Bieberle and Ryan combined to win the No. 3 doubles competition.
The duo earned the only win against Hesston in the No. 3 doubles division.
