​Kansas students showcase talents in Vortex High School Art Exhibit

High school artists from around the state will have a chance to experience the life of a professional artist when their work is featured and judged in the Shafer Art Gallery’s “Vortex High School Art Exhibit.”
The show will open Thursday, April 24 and will run through May 1 at the Gallery, located in the Fine Arts Building at Barton Community College.  
Shafer Art Gallery Director Dave Barnes said exhibiting the art of younger people creates a unique style and energy for the gallery.
