Cards blast Ellsworth in doubleheader

HOISINGTON — The Hoisington High School baseball team shut down Ellsworth not once, but twice on Friday evening.
The Cardinals (9-5) won the first game of a doubleheader 15-0 in three innings and the second 10-0 in five innings.
Trent Schremmer led Hoisington from the plate in Game 1, going 3-for-3 with a double and a triple. He drove in four runs and crossed the plate three times.
Colton Zink went 2-for-2 and also drove in four runs. Zink had a home run.
Braeden Crites added two RBIs, and Brad Reif and Jake Warnken each had one RBI.
