Red heel event invites all to 'Walk a Mile in Her Shoes'

The atmosphere will be festive, but the message will be serious at the fifth annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 1, in the courthouse square. Starting at the corner of Main and Lakin Ave., the block party will raise awareness about sexual and domestic violence and raise money for the Family Crisis Center to provide services.
