Methodist program teaches about empowering women

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The public is invited to join United Methodist Women from the Kansas City Metro Area on Saturday, May 3 to learn more about maternal health on a local and global scale.
Every two minutes a woman or girl somewhere in the world dies from complications during pregnancy or childbirth. Nearly all of these women live in places where poverty exists and health care is inaccessible. Learn how we can work together to help create a world where this moral tragedy is dealt with through education, empowerment and mobilization.
