Stop light work could cause traffic delays

Beginning this week, there may be some traffic hold-ups at 24th and Main, which has been under reconstruction since March. On Monday, the contractor will begin installing the new traffic signal mast arms.
“Travelers can expect delays at the intersection while this work is being completed,” said City Engineer Rob Winiecke. There will be lane closures and workers within the roadway.  
Two months ago, Bryant and Bryant Construction Inc. of Halstead started mobilizing for the project. It started with traffic control and project staking (surveying) and moved on to the storm drain at the northeast corner of the intersection.
