Treasurer reminds residents of property tax deadline

Traditionally, the second half of real estate, personal, and oil and gas property taxes are due by May 10. However since the 10th falls on a Saturday this year, Barton County residents have until 4:45 p.m. Monday, May the 12 to make payments.
But, said Barton County Treasurer Kevin Wondra, folks won’t be receiving a reminder about the fast-approaching deadline in their mailboxes. “We are switching to other means.”
