Prowlers reported; theft suspect caught

The Great Bend Police Department was dispatched to the 5500 block of Eisenhower Ave. at 2:44 a.m. Tuesday, after an anonymous caller reported two subjects in black clothing were attempting to get into her vehicle and had taken two bicycles. An officer located two individuals riding bikes away from the area. The subjects then left the bikes and ran.
Another officer located a 22-year-old man running in the 4100 block of Forest Ave. and served a notice to appear in municipal court on a charge of theft.
