Great Bend salvages twinbill split at Dodge City

DODGE CITY — Both games were close in the baseball doubleheader.
Great Bend High School fell 4-3 in Game 1, but salvaged the split with an 8-7 win in Game 2.
“They were both very close games,” GBHS head coach Randy Beck said. “They were both pretty exciting. I was pleased with how we played.”
The Panthers struck first in the lidlifter, scoring a run in the top of the first.
