Haney, Mulch qualify for Class 5A State Golf Tournament

Class 5A Regional Golf

HAYS — Chance Haney and Cole Mulch have qualified to represent the Great Bend High School boys’ golf team at the Class 5A State Tournament.
The team competed in the regional tournament in Hays on Monday, finishing in fifth place with 368 strokes.
“We could’ve played better,” GBHS head coach Troy Stein said. “Third place was 362, so we missed out on qualifying by six strokes.
“I’m happy for Chance and Cole, but I think we all feel like we missed out on a real chance to qualify as a team.”
