Flood warning issued for Northern Barton County Friday morning

The National Weather Service in Wichita declared a flood warning at 11:09 a.m. Friday morning for Northwestern Barton County.  Thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall were in the areas, and an estimated two to three inches of rain had already fallen with an addtional rainfall of one to two inches more possible.  
The warning urged people in the area to take precautions and be prepared for excessive runoff form heavy rainfall which could cause flooding of small creeks and streams.
