Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made nine ambulance runs on Tuesday.
At 11:18 a.m. they responded to Oil Center road and Railroad Ave. for a small ditch fire. Chief Mike Napolitano said the fire may have been started by a mower that was working in the area.
At 11:30 a.m., while fighting the fire on Railroad Ave., they received a fire alarm for Walgreen’s. Units responded and found no fire. The manager advised the alarm system was set off accidentally.
