Lady Eagles have strong showing at state meet

WICHITA — It was an historic weekend for the Ellinwood High School girls’ track and field team.
Over the two-day Class 6-1A State Track and Field Championships in Wichita, the Lady Eagles snapped four school records and came away with hardware for the second time in school history.
“Any time you get a trophy at a state meet, it was a good meet,” Ellinwood head coach Lyles Lashley said. “This was the first trophy for Ellinwood since 1983 and the second in school history. We took second place.”
