Sunday’s storms deliver rain, minimal damage

Street flooding was reported Sunday night at 19th and Lincoln Street in Great Bend about two blocks west of the middle school.

Welcome rain in western and central Kansas Sunday evening was accompanied by 60 mph wind and hail up to 21/2 inches in Meade County.
Several Barton County locations received at least an inch of rain with 1.50 inches reported at the Great Bend Municipal Airport. Rice County reported about an inch of rain.
Hot and windy weather will return Tuesday with a high of 96 degrees forecast with winds forecast from 20 to 30 mph. Winds will continue through Tuesday.
