​Man arrested on warrant for attempted 2nd-degree murder

A Great Bend man who was already in custody at the Barton County Jail was arrested on a warrant for alleged attempted second-degree murder on Thursday.
Bond for the new charge against Reynaldo Jonathan Verduzco-Gonzalez was set at $100,000.
As of Friday, a formal complaint had not been filed by the Barton County Attorney’s Office and details of what prompted the new warrant were not forthcoming. An employee at the County Attorney’s office said only County Attorney Douglas Matthews is authorized to answer questions there, but he was at a conference Friday and could not be reached ...
