Teens to launch catapults, explore body art


Teens will be making catapults at 2 p.m., June 17 at the Great Bend Public Library. Anyone in grades 7-12 is invited to attend and make one, said Jennifer King, Young Adult/marketing librarian.
Weekly STEM activities based on science, technology, engineering and math are at 2 p.m. on Thursdays. On June 19, the topic is, “Imagine Yourself as an Engineer.” Teens in grades 7-12 will work with circuits and have their own trivia contest. STEM activities are sponsored by the Girl Scouts but open to boys and girls.
