Things weren’t looking up for the Great Bend AAA American Legion baseball team early on against Russell on Saturday afternoon.
In the Chiefs’ second pool play game of the day, Russell got ahead early, taking advantage of a handful Great Bend errors.
Great Bend made a full recovery only to give it up in the seventh inning, falling 15-11.
