Braves get shut down in Day 1 of Zone Tournament

HAYS — In the Zone Tournament, the Great Bend Braves were shut down in Day 1 of the tournament in Hays.
Great Bend fell 8-4 against the Salina Hawks and was eliminated from the tournament by the Hays Eagles, 11-1.
The Braves turned four double plays in the two games, but were unable to overcome mistakes as they committed 12 errors on the day while stranding 16 base runners.
Great Bend finishes with a 10-9 record.
