‘Cheyenne Bottoms During World War II’ presentation to be held

ELLINWOOD —Every one is invited to a presentation about the Cheyenne Bottoms During World War II presentation by Karen Newforth.  It is Aug. 5 at 7 p.m. at the Heritage Center, 103. N. Main in Ellinwood.  
She will tell the story or the uses of Cheyenne Bottoms during the 1940s including activities as a practice bombing range.  Of course, some of the area kids delighted in watching it all happen and later searched for shells. Refreshments will be served. Newforth is a researcher with the Barton County Historical Society ...
