Firefighters made nine ambulance runs Tuesday and 15 Wednesday.
At 11:43 a.m. Tuesday, a smoke detector activated in the 600 block of SW 20 Ave.; it was a false alarm triggered by burned food. There was also a false alarm at 9:49 p.m. when someone saw smoke in the 400 block of Almond St.; it was coming from a barbecue.
At 1:06 p.m. Wednesday, a resident at 910 Baker Ave. reported a gas smell. Gas and electricity were shut off and the house was vented. The gas company was contacted ...
