Larned stays alive in Class AA State Tournament

Indians play Friday night

SABETHA — Larned’s American Legion baseball team stayed alive with a hard fought 2-1 victory over Doniphan County Friday in the Class AA State Tournament.
Larned (15-15) plays again at 8:30 p.m. Friday night against the Silver Lake-Ottawa winner. The Indians are assured of a top four finish at the state tournament.
Winning pitcher Camryn Bryant retired the final three batters in the seventh inning after Alex Schmille walked and Reid Greaser singled to put runners at third and second with no out. Chris Winkel drove home Schmille on a groundout. Caleb Winkel and Phoenix Keller were retired ...
