The Great Bend Recreation Commission, along with Donna Krug, FCS Agent at Barton County Extension office, will host a Walk Kansas informational meeting from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the Great Bend Activity Center, 2715 18th St. The public is invited to attend and learn about Walk Kansas, an eight-week program where teams of six form to collectively walk 423 miles — the distance across Kansas.
