A man told police he was grazed by a bullet during a confrontation in the 2000 block of 11th St. around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Great Bend Police Chief Clifton Couch said. The injury was described as minor and police were unsure whether it came from the actual bullet or from the scuffle when he tried to grab the gun. He declined medical treatment at the scene.

Families enjoy an outdoor movie, Thursday night in Jack Kilby Square. The City of Great Bend and Waters True Value sponsored the show and provided free popcorn and lemonade. On Thursday, Aug. 13, they will show the original "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" move. Shows start around 9:15 p.m. Seating is available, or bring a lawn chair or a blanket.
