Fifi, the only B-29 Superfortress still flying, arrived at the Great Bend Municipal Airport Thursday afternoon. The crew from the Commemorative Air Force will be selling rides in this World War II warbird during the Great Bend AirFest, going on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

​Perks offers free drinks to military, responders

First responders, veterans and active military personnel can now get free drinks every Thursday at Perks Coffee Shoppe, 1216 Main, in Great Bend. They will be served free coffee, tea or soda between the hours of 9:30 and 11 a.m.

Jordan found guilty

A Barton County jury has found Steven Terry "Dewey" Jordan, 46, guilty of rape, aggravated burglary and criminal damage to property. District Judge Ron Svaty set sentencing for 2 p.m. on Nov. 13 and revoked his bond.
