Police: $100,00 stolen from RC&D; director arrested

The director of Central Prairie RC&D was arrested Thursday on a warrant for two counts of theft by deception. LaVeta Miller was booked into the Barton County Jail in lieu of a $20,000 cash or surety bond.

Injuries reported in rollover accidents

Barton County Sheriff's Office responded to two rollover accidents on Saturday, and the Kansas Highway Patrol worked a rollover accident in Russell County. All three were initially reported as injury accidents.

Most weeks the Great Bend Tribune reports on at least one fundraiser that involves food. We can mark our calendars by pancakes, spaghetti or homemade chicken-noodle soup.
