ELLINWOOD - Eunice E. Harrelson, 75, died April 5 at her home in Independence, La. She was born Feb. 24, 1936, at Tanga Pahoa, La., the daughter of Henry Devoe Spillman and Ada Belle Jenkins. She married Bobbie Glen Harrelson on Nov. 23, 1966, in New Orleans, La. He died July 13, 2010. A resident of Baptist and Independence, La., for the past 16 years, she had also lived in Valley Center, Kan., for 36 years.

Helping Hands Preschool, along with Barton County Cooperative of Special Services and USD #428 - Great Bend, is looking for children to fill a limited number of openings still available in the 4-Year-old At-Risk Program for the 2011-2012 school year.
