Alice Jane Fox, 1932-2013

Alice Jane (Kachelman) Fox, 80, died Friday, Feb. 15, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. Born March 7, 1932 at St. John, she was the daughter of John T. and Kathleen Birdie (Schroder) Kachelman. A resident of Great Bend since 1970, she was a Safety Deposit Manager at American State Bank in Great Bend for 20 years, Undersheriff for Stafford County, and a farmer.

Deborah K. (Debbie) George 1955 - 2013

LARNED - Deborah K. (Debbie) George, 57, died Feb. 15 at the Pawnee Valley Community Hospital in Larned. Born Aug. 24, 1955 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Larned, she was the daughter of Lloyd W. and Katherine L. Debes George. In 1960 she moved to Boulder, Colo. for schooling at North Broadway, until she was 21, and then she worked at Boulder County Workshop. In February of 1993, she moved back to Kansas and worked at Sunflower Diversified Services.

Adam P. Deckert 1919 - 2013

PAWNEE ROCK - Adam P. Deckert, 94, died Feb. 16 at Sunrise of Lenexa in Lenexa. Born Feb. 6, 1919 in Great Bend, he was the son of Peter and Susie (Ratzlaff) Deckert. On April 15, 1945 he married Helen Schmidt in Pawnee Rock. She died on April 7, 1996. A long-time Pawnee Rock resident, Mr. Deckert was a Lenexa resident for two years, coming from Great Bend where he resided for 17 years. He was a farmer and also worked for Doerr Metal in Larned.
