Volunteers in Action News

We are proud to announce that Linn Hogg has been selected as Volunteer Coordinator for Volunteer Connections. In this position, Linn will be working with volunteers from school age children to college students to young adults, in fact, anyone under the age of 55. Linn brings great enthusiasm as well as wonderful experience working with the Relay for Life, Barton Community Concerts and other community volunteer efforts. All of us at RSVP are looking forward to this expansion into a full volunteer center and to working with Linn.

​Presbyterians announce Irish Stew

The Presbyterian Church will hold its annual Irish Stew from 4:30-7 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at the church's Fellowship Hall, located at 24th and Washington St. in Great Bend. Presbyterians will be serving Irish stew and homemade pie. Tickets are $6 and available at the door; preschoolers can eat for free. Carry-out can be purchased and picked up at the northeast church entry.

Kiwanis Pancake Day is Thursday

Kiwanis will be serving pancakes and sausage from 4-7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7, in the Expo I building, for the 55th annual Great Bend Kiwanis Pancake Day. Tickets are $3. Proceeds allow the club to sponsor a number activities for youths and other nonprofit entities.
