ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - The Texas Rangers did a victory lap, sharing the moment with their frenzied fans. They sprayed each other with ginger ale on the field to involve the AL championship series MVP in the celebration, and doused their manager with the contents of a water cooler.

WICHITA/LARNED - Darrell Dee (Sonny) Knight, 85, passed away Oct. 22 at the Veterans Administration Hospice in Wichita. Born in Garden City, Aug. 21, 1925, to Harold H. Knight, Sr. and Wanda (Holmes) Knight, He graduated from Pawnee Rock High School where he grew up spending considerable time with his special grandmother Maude Holmes.

It's been a long time coming, but even though the Kansas Supreme Court has released its decision in the state's appeal of the Gannon vs. Kansas school finance lawsuit, the question of funding schools is still up in the air.
