Brandon Scott McDonald

ST. JOHN - Airman 1st Class Brandon Scott McDonald, 20, died July 11 in Badem, Germany. Born April 7, 1990, in Muskogee, Okla., he was the son of Nick Garcia and Angela McDonald. Brandon was a 2008 graduate of Muskogee High School and a former resident of St. John. He was in the United States Air Force, active duty. On Aug. 8, 2008, he married Britney (Brown) in Muskogee, Okla. She survives, of the home.

Eugene J. "Gene" Herrman

Eugene J. "Gene" Herrman, 53, of Great Bend, died July 18 at his home. He was born July 30, 1956, at Hays, the son of Elmer J. and Bertille (Meier) Herrman. He was married to Mary Battisti for 12 years. He later married Jean A. Keffer on May 14, 2010, at Great Bend. He worked as a service technician for Coca-Cola for 18 years, was a high lift operator for Fuller Brush for five years and also worked at the Walnut Bowl. LARNED - Mary Elizabeth Wiley died July 16 at Hays Medical Center, Hays, She was born July 11, 1924, at Satanta, the daughter of Juan and Carlota (Rincon) Contererez. A lifetime resident of Kinsley and Larned, she was a retired CNA at Gleason Hospital, Larned.
