Chamber of Commerce Coffee to be hosted by Grove Chiropractic and Sports Injury

Beekeeper to give Stop ‘N Learn program

The Great Bend Recreation Commission will host a free Stop 'N Learn Session titled "Busy Bees" from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the Great Bend Activity Center, 2715 18th. Greg Swob, owner of Swobee Honey Farm, will share information about bees, honey production and basic equipment used in beekeeping during this informational program. NEWTON - Richard A. Schmidt, 83, died March 27. Born Sept. 7, 1927 at St. Rose Hospital in Great Bend, he was the son of August and Esther K. (Schmidt) Schmidt. He attended school in Meno, Okla. In 1948 he graduated from Bethel College. The next two years were spent in a flour mill laboratory in Minneapolis, Minn.
