USD 428 Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. on Monday at the District Education Office, 201 South Patton Road. Items on the agenda include approval of GBHS class scheduling; update on Dance Line trip fund-raising; GBHS vocal music information regarding proposed trip of A Capella Choir to Washington, DC; approval of copier agreements; project updates on GBMS gymnasium construction and GBHS gym bleachers; 2012-2013 student enrollment; and update on Pioneer League membership request.
Preceptor Pi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met Oct. 2 at the home of Janis Link. President Jeri Brozek led the meeting attended by 10 chapter members.

Eighteen area students were awarded scholarships totaling $3,800 at the Kansas State University alumni/student event Sept. 18 in Great Bend.
