The 82d Airborne Division has returned from Afghanistan after completing their missions over a two year period. This division has been America's No.1 fighting division since World War II, also highly decorated.

Jeremy and Mandy Keil of Great Bend announce the birth of their daughter, Victoria Lenae Keil on Dec. 17 at Promise Regional Hospital in Hutchinson. She weighed 6 lbs. 15 1/2 oz. and was 19 1/2 in. long.

Rufus Kimple 90th
Rufus P. Fimple will celebrate his 90th birthday with a card shower. He was born March 3, 1921, in Bacca County Colo. After graduating from Sterling High School, he attended Kansas State University on a track scholarship, until being drafted for military service. Editor's Note: A 1967 Corvette once owned by singer Roy Orbison is now part of the collection at Hendrick Motorsports, owned Rick Hendrick of NASCAR fame. For a time, that storied automobile was owned by Robert "Bob" Martin of Great Bend, the former owner of Christmas Fantasy Village. Martin died on April 9.
