Presbyterian Women’s Rummage Sale to be held Saturday
Presbyterian Women of Great Bend will hold their annual Rummage Sale on Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon, in the church Fellowship Hall at 24th and Washington. Funds raised by the rummage sale are contributed by Presbyterian Women to local charities and service organizations in Barton County, as well as to national and worldwide missions. Sponsors said a wide variety of minimally priced useful items in good condition will be for sale.
Annual pancake feed next Thursday, March 10
The Great Bend Noon Kiwanis Club will sponsor its 53rd-annual Pancake Day from 4-7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at the Expo One Building west of Great Bend on 10th Street. Campaign encourages screening during Colon Cancer Awareness Month
TOPEKA – More than 10 percent of all newly diagnosed cancer cases in Kansas are colon cancer.
