Donald D. "Donnie" Holopirek 1938 - 2011

TIMKEN - Donald D. "Donnie" Holopirek, 72, of Timken, died Jan. 25 at Promise Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson. Born July 27, 1938, in Rush County, he was the son of Ralph and Blanche (Smrcka) Holopirek. On Nov. 15, 1965, he married Frances Herrman at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Timken. A lifelong resident of Rush County he was a farmer, welder and a truck driver for the Rush County Highway Department before his retirement.

Cecilia C. "Susie" Ward, 89, died Jan. 26 at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend. She was born Nov. 30, 1921, at Beaver, the daughter of Valentine and Anna M. (Feltes) Kramer. She married Leonard "Buck" Ward on June 14, 1962, at Miami, Okla. He died July 7, 1983. She was a retired bookkeeper, and co-owner of Ward Motel.
