Broadway-Harrison collision

Traffic stops after a Pontiac Bonneville SE and Ford F-150 truck collide at Broadway and Harrison, around 11:35 a.m. Tuesday. There was also a collision at the intersection Friday afternoon. The intersection was once a regular spot for traffic accidents, before the city removed part of the center island and added a left-turn lane on the east side of Broadway in 2011. Now collisions are not a regular event at Broadway and Harrison.

​Foot chase leads to drug bust

Cory Little had an outstanding warrant when he was seen by a Great Bend Police officer at 3:49 p.m. Saturday in the 1400 block of Broadway Ave. The officer attempted to arrest Little, who fled on foot. Suspected narcotics were found in a bag in Little's possession.

Armella Margaret Bianchino, 92, died Aug. 30 at Villa St. Joseph, Overland Park. She was born Dec. 1, 1920, at Schoenchen, the daughter of Alex and Regina (Gottschalk) Bieker. She married Sal Bianchino Sept. 18, 1945, at Hays. He died April 25, 2012.
