Kiwanis benefit supper tonight

The Larned Kiwanis annual fund-raising supper is scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday (tonight) at the J.A. Haas Building , 400 E. 18th,. on the Pawnee County fairgrounds. Admission is $2 for ages 3 to 12 and $7 at the gate for ages 13 and over.

The lead up to the Super Bowl gets emotions high – and prices can seem high as well. So many go searching for bargains. Unfortunately, some of those "bargains" that can be so alluring are cheaper for a reason: they are fakes. That means the workmanship and the materials used in their manufacture will be of inferior quality, making that "great deal" quickly turn into a rip-off.
