The Better Business Bureau of Kansas wants to alert consumers of a Bank Card scam. Consumers who are receiving calls on their cell phones start with a recorded messages the first part of the message is hard to understand. But then, becomes much clearer to tell you your "bank card has been locked, please press one to proceed."
Approximately 94 calls for service and 109 Officer initiated calls were received for the month of July. Officers responded to eight medical/fire calls and worked two non-injury accidents. Two arrests were made and 613 criminal summonses were served in the month of July.
City of Hoisington council to meet
HOISINGTON – Recently the CPI Barton County Endowment awarded a $5,000 grant to support the renovation of Hoisington's Pride Park. Originally the endowment committee challenged the City of Hoisington and the FOCUS Committee to raise an initial $10,000 in order to receive the CPI Endowment grant. The city successfully met the challenge and all of the funds raised help support the updates to and renovation of Pride Park.
