Harold (Doc) Stone of Ellinwood will celebrate his 90th birthday with a card shower. He was born on Feb. 19, 1922, to Joshua and Georgia Stone in Cedar Vale. He served during World War II as a captain in the 7th Station Hospital as a dental officer. In August 1949 he came to Ellinwood to begin his dental practice. The Ellinwood Heritage Center and the Commission on Aging are long time partners of RSVP. The Ellinwood Heritage Senior Center was first conceived in 1981 by a group of concerned citizens of Ellinwood.
