Barton County 4-H members were honored for their accomplishments at the 78th-annual 4-H Achievement Celebration. The theme was "Rock and Roll with 4-H". Sarah Niederee, 4-H Council President and Bonny Boultinghouse, 4-H Council Vice-President served as the emcees. Morgan Kaiser, 4-H Council Secretary led the members in the Flag Salute and 4-H Pledge.

On Thanksgiving Eve, Trinity Lutheran Church, 2701 24th St., will open its doors to its communion partner congregations and the community, to reflect, worships, and build on that tradition of praise and thanksgiving. The service starts at 7 p.m.
St. Mark's Lutheran Church's Pastor Adam Wutka, right, president of Barton County Association of Churches' Emergency Aid Council, accepts a donation to Emergency Aid from Pastor Scott Solether of the First Presbyterian Church and Jan Bonine, chairwoman of the church's Local Ministry Team. The $471.29 was donated following a recent community Music for Mission Concert held at the Presbyterian Church. An additional $52.36 was given to the church's Crisis Management program.
